Over here at Bloody Gerry HQ we don’t just love Bloody Marys, we enjoy drinking tons of different spirits and cocktails. Our favorite liquor is, hands down, tequila. We particularly love Reposado and Anejo Tequila but a good Blanco Tequila is always a good way to get the party started. Here are our top 5 tequilas.
- Don Julio 1942 $125 There is a reason that on multiple liquor retail sites they say “Suitable Cons could not be generated at this time.” Because there are none, only Pros. Don Julio 1942 is the definition of the best anejo tequila. The flavors of this tequila is full-bodied, and creamy with slightly peppery and just a hint spicy with lingering sweet caramel flavors. A long smooth finish with rich wood accents, cinnamon sugar flavors, and a light tobacco vanilla finish.
2. Clase Azul Reposado ~$120 Just looking at the bottle you know you’re going to experience something special. The smooth aromas of wood, vanilla and toffee caramel. The mouth feel is silky, full of depth and smooth, with flavor notes of warmth, woody, sweet vanilla. Almost no spice and no afterburn. This is an impressive anejo tequila.
3. Casamigos Anejo ~$52 Very close in flavor to Clase Azul with a lower price point. Smooth caramel and vanilla notes and a slight agave sweetness with barrel oak and subtle hints of spice. Aged for 14 months gives this outstanding tequila a lingering smooth finish.

Riazul Tequila Anejo ~$65.00 With 96 Points from Wine Enthusiast Riazul Anejo Tequila is a smooth complex anejo with subtle hints of agave, slight flavors imparting of wild flower honey, stone fruit, and cinnamon.
